I managed to get all of my pages done for the crit!!! I knew that when I got to the crit there would be alot I needed to change as by just looking at it I knew something wasn't right.
From the crit I found out that I had been trying to put TOO much on one page...trying to fit it all on with no thought for what the reader needs to see first. I also found out that when I am producing something that visually communicates something you need to prioritise...make sure you know what is the first thing people should read or look at. A way of doing this is making say images bigger (if they are what you want people to see first) or smaller (if its not as much as a priority).
I simplified my pages right down so that the information is easy to read. I also used a guide on my layout so everything read well.
Although I still feel there is something wrong with my running pages...but I just don't know what...I am going to leave it as for my first go on indesign and making a book...I am pleased!
On monday we did book binding. It wasn't too difficult to actually do but there were alot of steps...I am glad I took notes, because I don't think I would be able to remember how to do it without. The trickyestt part was gluing the pages to the book...but it worked. I am really pleased with how professional it looks! it looks like a proper book. In the future I will definitly consider book binding again. It was fun to do.
